Leopardgecko, Eublepharis macularius
The Leopard gecko is probably one of the first gecko species to be held in captivity. Already in the sixties, or even before that, this species was held in captivity..
It has gained it´s immense popularity by being at the same time beautiful, easy to keep and easy to breed.
During the decades of domestication selective breeding has produced a number of varieties in regard to size, colour and pattern.
Presently I keep a larger group of animals with a number of different genetic varieties. They´ve started to become active after their winter rest. |
